Dubai hotel occupancy soars over festive period

Hoteliers across Dubai have witnessed a surge in occupancy over the festive season.  Occupancy levels in some of the city’s hotels rose to more than 90%, according to recent media reports. As a result, many hotels also witnessed a rise in revenue and profits, thanks to an influx of festive tourism. For example Ramada Downtown Dubai saw an 11% growth in occupancy, a 31% rise revenue and a subsequent 38% increase in profits compared to the same period last year. Business at Al Bustan Centre & Residence in Dubai rose by almost 40%, while the Tilal Liwa Hotel recorded a 108% increase in room revenue this year – all positive signs that the emirate’s hotel industry continues to thrive.
