Photos of Legoland Dubai’s Taj Mahal revealed
Images of LEGOLAND® Dubai’s replica of the Taj Mahal have been revealed.
Made from 280,741 bricks and taking 2,019 hours to build, the Taj Mahal LEGO model weighs in at a mighty 645.9kg.
The attraction, a replica of the iconic palace in Agra, India, will be located in the park’s Miniland section, which will also feature recreations of iconic sights and landmarks, from the region and surrounding countries.
Dubai Parks and Resorts said that its sneak peak of the Taj Mahal was in celebration of India’s Independence Day.
LEGOLAND® Dubai will have six themed areas, 15,000 Lego model structures, and more than 40 rides, shows and attractions.
It is set to open on 31 October along with Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, MOTIONGATE™ Dubai, and LEGOLAND® Water Park.
The destination will also include Riverland™ Dubai, a themed retail, dining, and entertainment experience, along with the Lapita™ Hotel, a Polynesian-themed family resort.
“This has been a long-time coming and I can’t say enough about how excited we are to welcome our guests to the destination,” said Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, CEO of Dubai Parks and Resorts, announcing the 31 October opening date earlier this month.
“Nothing of this magnitude has ever been done before, and we look forward to offering our guests close to 100 unforgettable rides, attractions and experiences. As the largest entertainment destination in the region, Dubai Parks and Resorts will create jobs in Dubai, support the UAE’s tourism vision and grow the family leisure industry in the region.”
Annual passes for the attraction are currently on sale and daily pass details will be announced soon.
