TFG F&B Investments Boost Value for Hotel Investors
TFG Restaurant Group, the trailblazing hospitality division owned and operated by The First Group, continues to build its reputation as one of Dubai’s leading F&B operators, having officially launched two new outlets in recent months with another exciting addition on the horizon.
Despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the broader hospitality market, TFG Restaurant Group has continued to pursue ambitious expansion plans over the past 12 months. Its impressive development pipeline reflects The First Group’s strategy to add significant value to its fast-growing hotel portfolio, establishing its properties as gastronomic destinations in their own right and thereby boosting the value of their owner’s investments.
Spanish restaurant and tapas bar, Lola Taberna Española and the Mediterranean-themed Soluna Restaurant & Lounge opened in TRYP by Wyndham Dubai in December and January respectively, earning rave reviews from high-profile media outlets and diners alike.
Lola Taberna Española, which is named after the famous Spanish flamenco dancer, Lola Flores, offers a modern twist on the traditional Spanish taberna, and features an exciting and highly original Iberic-themed menu conceived by acclaimed chef Daniel Delgado.
Time Out Dubai has been effusive in its praise for Lola, stating in a recent review that “the food really is as good as it gets for tapas”, while Gulf News declared Delgado’s innovative menu “pays homage to the greatest dishes and produce Spain has to offer".
Soluna Restaurant & Lounge, which “celebrates the cultural melting pot that is the Mediterranean”, according to Hotelier Middle East, has quickly established itself as one of Barsha Heights’ most popular outdoor dining venues, thanks to its casual, laid back vibe and delicious, innovative menu that offers a modern twist on traditional Greek favourites.
Meanwhile, the team at Wyndham Dubai Marina are celebrating the launch this month of its new outdoor venue, Terraza by Alloro. An extension of the hugely popular Italian restaurant Alloro Ristorante, the new eatery offers guests a taste of ‘la dolce vita’, with an extensive range of street food-style options, from pizza to Italian snacks, beverages and best of all, authentic Gelato.
Elsewhere at Millennium Place Marina, the team at MasterChef, the TV Experience, have also launched an all-new menu created by Head Chef Margarita Vaamonde that features a range of dishes from past winners and finalists of the global TV phenomenon, from which the restaurant takes its iconic name.
TFG Restaurant Group is also busy preparing for the opening of its first Japanese restaurant in The First Group’s Millennium Place Marina Hotel in Dubai Marina. Ikigai (生き甲斐), which translates as "a reason for being”, will feature Japanese dishes with a modern twist, an eclectic drinks menu, and regular live entertainment in the heart of the Marina district.
The latest developments mark the beginning of an exciting new phase for TFG Restaurant Group, with a number of highly unique F&B concepts set to be rolled out through 2021.
