The preliminary design drawings have been approved by Dubai Municipality.
Prior to the above submittal other approvals on the design of the hotel had been obtained from the relevant authorities such as Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), Dubai civil defence, Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Etisalat, the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) and the master developer.
The enabling works (shoring & piling) have been awarded; the appointed contractor has submitted his design drawings to the relevant authorities to obtain the building permit. Once the permit is issued he will immediately start the mobilization of his equipment to the site and the commencement of the enabling works will begin.
The hotel operator is heavily involved with the project architect and our in house design team at this design stage to ensure that the operational requirements are met. This involvement will cover almost all of the hotel spaces and relevant operational aspects ensuring a construction process that is unhindered by delays occasioned by on-going design changes.
