Why you should visit Dubai Marina
It offers an unbeatable lifestyle experience…
Dubai Marina is home to more than 120,000 residents and is a haven for visitors to the city, thanks to its futuristic vibe, imposing skyline, ultra-modern amenities, stunning sea views and beautiful 7km-long waterway, which is the favoured port for the city’s most expensive and exclusive leisure craft. The adjacent Jumeirah Beach is the perfect place to catch some rays or take a refreshing dip, while the 1.6km-long The Walk – with its dozens of restaurants, cafes and boutiques – is one of Dubai’s most popular hangouts. The recently opened Bluewater's Island, with its remarkable Ain Dubai Ferris wheel – the world’s largest – is also within walking distance of Dubai Marina.
It boasts world-class hotels…
Dubai Marina has earned a reputation as one of the city’s hottest international tourism destinations largely thanks to its collection of world-class hotels. Ranking among the most popular is The First Group’s portfolio of hotel properties: Wyndham Dubai Marina, Millennium Place Marina and Al Dar Tower. With 497 guestrooms, Wyndham Dubai Marina is also one of the precinct’s largest hotels, and is home to a host of top-quality amenities, including two F&B outlets; a spa, gym and swimming pool; and meeting and conference events space. Millennium Place Marina features 457 luxury guestrooms and suites, cutting-edge dining options including the world’s first MasterChef the TV Experience restaurant, and a comprehensive array of guest amenities and leisure facilities, while the 40-storey Al Dar Tower boasts 260 units, comprising studios, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments and 4-bedroom duplex penthouses, all equipped with luxury amenities including a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, washing machine and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi services. Dubai Marina is also home to The First Group’s most ambitious project to date, Ciel, which will be the world’s tallest hotel when it is completed in 2023.
And some of Dubai’s finest restaurants…
In addition to the aforementioned MasterChef the TV Experience restaurant, the Marina precinct is home to some of the city’s best dining options. One of the most exciting outlets to open in recent months is Japanese eatery Ikigai. Located in Millennium Place Marina, the casual restaurant and bar offers an array of exciting Japanese street cuisine and an extensive cocktail and sake menu that can be enjoyed indoors or on the restaurant’s large and impressive terrace. TFG Restaurant Group partnered with award-winning chef Reif Othman to develop Ikigai’s unique menu, which celebrates the food of izakayas (Japanese pub taverns). Reif is one of Dubai’s most-celebrated chefs, having been the driving force behind powerhouse Japanese eatery Zuma as well as being named one of the industry’s most-influential identities by Caterer Middle East magazine.
